Error Code: 005

An ERROR ‘005’ code displayed on the display indicates the interruption of the braking signal. It occurs when there is a failure existing in the brake cutoff system.

Follow the troubleshooting steps below to get your bike back to normal:

Step 1:

Turn off the bike. Locate the brake cutoff connectors at the front. They are near the handlebar .

Step 2:

Firstly, unplug the left brake cable, then turn on the bike to see if the error message persists.

If the error code does not disappear, unplug the right brake cable and plug in the left brake cable to see if the error code still exists.

Note: Pull the brake cable connector directly according to the arrow on the protective cover, instead of twisting it.

Step 3:

Reboot the bike to test out whether the left brake cutoff connector or the right one is broken.

If the error code disappears, it can be determined that there is a poor contact problem with the brake line on that side.

Step 4:

Position the brake cutoff connector, find the screws that fix it on the back of the brake lever, and loosen it with Allen key.

Note: First loosen the red part of the screw, and then loosen the yellow part of the screw.

Step 5:

After loosening the screw, pull the brake lines in the left and right directions, then turn on the bike to see if the error code persist (the fault code will disappear only when it is pulled to the proper position.)

Note:After all adjustments, remember to tighten these screws.
